Private Schools Also Have the Right to Education (RTE) From Today: SC

Central Government’s Right to Education (RTE) law uphold by the Supreme Court of India. The Court said today that the law should be applied in all schools from today. All government and non-government private schools will have to give 25 per cent of the seats to poor children. The law will apply from today.

Central Government of India was made RTE in 2009. Under this law, Under this law, all private schools toreserve 25 percent seats for poor children has been provided.

Some private schools were challenged this in the Supreme Court. Private Schools argued that the have to right to run their institution in their own way. They also alleged that Govt is interfering in Jurisdiction of Private Schools. While the government claims that the children of all categories will receive the same education through RTE. Pronouncing judgment on the petition, the Supreme Court todaymade it clear that the education law is right and it applies today.
