Notifications UGC-NET Exam December, 2014 for Jr. Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Central Board of Secondary Education invites online application for University Grant Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) commonly known as UGC NET December, 2014 examination for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor.


The UGC has assigned to the CBSE the responsibilities for conducting the UGC-NET first time. UGC NET examination is conducted two times in a year by the University Grants Commission for the position of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor for various Indian Universities and Colleges.

Eligibility: Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

How to apply: The eligible and Interested candidates who wish to appear in upcoming UGC-NET examination, they may apply online through CBSE website www.cbsenet.nic.in from 15th October, 2014.
